This project will
result in the widening of NC 73/Sam Furr Road from US 21

purpose of the widening is to reduce congestion and improve safety

this project. Construction is now scheduled to take place in FY
08. (The fiscal year refers to the federal government’s fiscal year
which begins on October 1.) The Town will pay for the project and
will be reimbursed by NCDOT in FY 2012.
