Public Involvement
Public involvement plays a significant role in the transportation planning process. Public meetings and the solicitation of public comments are required prior to the adoption of any significant plans (such as the Transportation Improvement Program and the Long Range Transportation Plan). MUMPO staff also attends several public events throughout the year to provide information on relevant transportation planning activities. In addition to the aforementioned activities, there is an opportunity for public comment at each MPO meeting.
