I-485 / I-85 Interchange Reconstruction (Concept Animation)
One of the projects remaining to complete the I-485 loop is to reconstruct the current I-85/I-485 interchange and provide the connection between I-485, I-85 and the new eight-lane section of I-485 not yet constructed.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation hosted a Citizens Informational Workshop to discuss the interchange of I-85 and I-485 in the northeast portion of Mecklenburg County (near Concord Mills). This project includes the reconstruction of the interchange to make it functional with the last section of I-485 in the northeast portion of Mecklenburg County.
The meeting was held on February 5, 2009 at Mallard Creek High School.
