2035 Long Range Transportation Plan Content

MUMPO is responsible for maintaining a long range transportation plan (LRTP) for its entire planning area, which outlines its goals and objectives, as well as addresses transportation related issues and impacts over a 20-year minimum horizon.  The LRTP is a federally-mandated, long-term planning document detailing the transportation improvements and policies to be implemented in the MPO’s planning area.  The plan complies with the Statewide and Metropolitan Transportation Planning regulations issued by the US Department of Transportation.

LRTP Update

The LRTP is required to be updated every four years, and the next plan update is due in March 2014.  Due to the complexity and coordination required to complete the plan update process, work has recently begun on what will be MUMPO’s 2040 LRTP.  More information can be found on this webpage about the plan update process.
