Unified Planning Work Program
The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is adopted annually in accordance with joint Federal Highway Administration/Federal Transit Administration (FHWA/FTA) transportation planning guidelines. The UPWP describes the planning activities that are anticipated for the coming fiscal year and documents the allocation of state and federal funds associated with each planning activity.
FY 2013 Unified Planning Work Program
Development of the FY 2013 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is now underway. North Carolina’s MPOs have not received allocation amounts; therefore MUMPO is assuming FY 2012 amounts during the preparation of the UPWP.
FY 2013 assumed funding availability:

Schedule:
A draft document will be presented to the MPO on March 21, 2012; final approval is expected on May 16, 2012.
Local Transportation Planning Projects:
MUMPO allocates a portion of its Planning (PL) funds to transportation projects sponsored by its member jurisdictions.
